DIGITRAX THROTTLESDigitrax dual control throttles, such as the DT300 and DT400, use encoders to take full advantage of the excellent speed control available in 128 speed step mode. With encoder throttles you can select a locomotive that is running and the throttle knob position won’t change the speed of that locomotive as a potentiometer throttle would. This obviates the need to adjust the throttle to match the locomotive’s speed. The dual controls on a single hand-held throttle give you prototypical multiple unit operations and helper service. Any combination of LocoNet throttles can be added to any starter system on your layout, depending on your operational requirements. DT400 Super Throttle for more sophisticated operation. The DT400 comes with the Super Chief and Super Empire Builder starter sets, but is an ideal addition to any Digitrax system as it gives greater flexibility for programming and operating both mobile and stationary decoders. Designed as a walkaround throttle to be used with a UR90 infra-red receiver, its dual throttle controls have click encoders for extra fine speed control. It has the same message display as the DT300, but has a full numeric keypad giving direct access to Functions 0-12, which means you need not go into function mode to operate lights, sound and other functions. The big advantage is that there are no display time-outs and you have single key access to most common throttle tasks. Selecting locomotives is much easier as the number of the locomotive is entered via the keypad and not ‘dialed up’ using the encoders. The DT400 also has a Find Key for use with transponder equipped locomotives and layouts. It has been designed to meet the requirements of enthusiastic operators which have been communicated to Digitrax over a number of years. DT300 Advanced Throttle with Infra-red. The DT300 can be used with any LocoNet Command Station. It has a multi-line back-lit LCD display, showing information such as 2 digit and 4 digit addresses, functions and point feedback. It is user configurable, has fast clock capability and access to Functions 0-8. The DT300 comes with built-in infra-red capability. The addition of one or more UR90 IR receivers means you have tetherless operation which can contribute enormously to the enjoyment of running a club or large personal layout. UT2 and UT4 Utility Throttles. The traditional, simple and cost-effective UT2 has
one large knob for speed control, a direction switch for forward and reverse
operation, programming capability and direct access to Functions 0-5.
It can be used with any LocoNet system. It runs all 2 digit addresses
and any 4 digit addresses and consists assigned to it by advanced throttles.
Its simple design makes it really easy for beginners and layout visitors
to use. The UT4 has the same design but runs all 4 digit addresses, has
a 3-position direction switch, direct access to Functions 0-10 and built-in
infra-red capability. DCS50The Zephyr uses the DCS50 combined command station/booster/throttle (see starter sets for further information).
